Aim: The Beehive is a magazine dedicated to creating a vibrant and supportive community where women share their authentic stories of resilience, growth, and transformation. Our aim is to provide a platform for women to:

  • Share personal narratives: Offer candid and compelling accounts of their experiences in their professional fields, personal lives, and beyond.

  • Explore meaning-making: Delve into navigating challenges, overcoming adversity, and finding strength in difficult situations.

  • Inspire and empower: Offer insights, lessons learned, and practical takeaways that resonate with and uplift other women.

  • Foster connection: Build a supportive network where women can connect, relate, and learn from one another's journeys.

  • Celebrate resilience: Highlight women's strength, adaptability, and unwavering spirit in the face of life's complexities.

Scope: The Beehive welcomes submissions from women of all backgrounds, ages, and experiences. We seek stories that:

  • Focus on personal experiences and reflections.

  • Explore themes of resilience, growth, and transformation.

  • Offer meaningful insights and takeaways.

  • Are written in a clear, engaging, and accessible style.

  • Cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

    • Career challenges and triumphs

    • Personal growth and self-discovery

    • Relationships and family dynamics

    • Health and wellness journeys

    • Creative pursuits and passions

    • Overcoming obstacles and setbacks

    • Finding meaning in unexpected circumstances.

    • Prioritize authentic voices and genuine storytelling over academic analysis.

    • Are intended to inspire and encourage other women.

Submission Guidelines:

Submissions can be submitted anonymously.

General Requirements:

  • Submissions should be written in a clear, engaging, and accessible style for a general audience.

  • Focus on personal experiences, reflections, and insights.

  • Stories should offer meaningful takeaways and inspiration for other women.

  • Word count: 500-2500 words.

  • Please include a brief author bio (which can be anonymized).

Content and Tone:

  • We prioritize authentic storytelling, focusing on personal growth, resilience, and finding meaning.

  • Stories should be constructive and focused on the author's journey and lessons learned.

  • No Bad-Mouthing Policy: While difficult situations may involve other individuals or entities, "The Beehive" is a space for positive and constructive storytelling. We do not accept submissions that engage in excessive negativity, personal attacks, or the defamation of others. Please focus on your own experiences and how you navigated them rather than dwelling on the perceived faults of others. We aim to create a supportive and uplifting environment for all readers.
